Transfer Snap-Shots - June 5th

Transfer Snap-Shots - June 5th

As expected, United feature heavily in the transfer gossip today, as expected.

Amongst the multitude of rumours are three that we`ve picked up on.

The first relates to our reported interest in the Arsenal player, Samir Nasri.

The latest gossip to surface comes courtesy of an interview on French television, an interview in which Nasri, supposedly, admitted he`ll not be signing a new contract with Arsenal and refused to play down the possibility of a move to Old Trafford.

Next up is our apparent quest to sign Fabio Coentrao. But this looks to be a no-no with Coentrao reportedly only interested in a move to Real Madrid.

Lastly, well for today, is the case of the Swiss teenager, Xherdan Shaqiri. A £10 million deal is being muted but, probably like yourselves, we have to admit to not knowing much about this lad. Anyone care to help?

A busy few months for you I suspect Red Boy, keeping up with all these rumours is going to be hard. Wouldn't mind Nasri to be honest, i'd be willing to wait until January in fact, where Wenger would be forced to sell or lose him on a free. Can't see him leaving Arsenal though and if he were to leave i'd imagine it won't be for Man U. He doesn't seem overly fussed about joining ourselves and Arsenal aren't willing to sell to us at the moment and so he might end up elsewhere with Real Madrid getting a 5 mil bid accepted or something (have you seen the quality players they're picking up lately and the prices they're paying!?). Not worried about Coentrao to be perfectly honest, we already have a massive prospect and back-up in Fabio, a world class option in Evra and the utility of De Laet and O'Shea if push comes to shove. Shaqiri i know nothing of.

Shaqiri was Switzerlands best player against England yesterday imo, really stood out with a couple of good runs and shots from distance.
