Two for Bruce?

Two for Bruce?

Is Steve Bruce looking to his old habitat to improve his Sunderland squad?

Well it certainly looks so if you believe what is written in the tabloid press.

Seemingly Bruce is keen to recruit a duo of players from Old Trafford in the shape of Wes Brown and Darren Gibson.

Brown, as we reported yesterday, has been told to find a new club and at the age of thirty-one will be looking for one last lucrative deal.

Gibson though is a different kettle of fish.

At twenty-three he`s got his whole career ahead of him. We`d imagine that he envisages playing most of that at Old Trafford.

But, not being a regular, he could be in for a rude awakening if Sir Alex decides that Sunderland can speak to the player.

This could be an interesting one to follow!

Gibson I think should go out on loan. I wouldn't be overly fussed if he did leave but at the same time I'm slightly intrigued at whether a consistent run in the 1st team will allow him to really up his game. Then again with our dire need for a CM I wouldn't mind Jordan Henderson in a swap deal plus a bit of cash (from us to them).

Who here thinks Gibson and Wes Ornage would improve anyone's squad?
