Adam to Replace Scholes?

Adam to Replace Scholes?

With all the talk of Manchester United being interested in the Spurs playmaker, Luka Modric, could Sir Alex Ferguson be looking elsewhere?

The reason we ask is that several news sources are reporting that Manchester United are showing an interest in the Blackpool player, Charlie Adam.

Adam, who Blackpool held on to during the January transfer window, is expected to leave the relegated club with Ian Holloway, predicting, back in January, that Adam would get a high-priced move to one of the big four.

Adam to replace Scholes!

Stranger things have happened!

Well he certainly does a nice line in nasty challenges, so would readily replace Chopper Scholes in that respect, but wouldn't you be better off grabbing someone like Sneijder? Unless the reports about your having money to spend this summer are just more Glazer lies of course (hint - you've resigned Owen!)

I really dont think we're in for a galactico summer. Whilst the papers talk about Sneijder, Sanchez and Diarra - we'll end up going for Young, Adam and Henderson. On the basis that scholes, nev, hargreaves, giggs, rio, brown and owen could all be gone in the next couple of years - bringing in a british contingent will definitely help us stay within the squad quotas for players trained in england.

I also think signing owen up for another year is a good thing. It means we can afford to let welbeck, king, macheda, keane, cofie etc progress without worrying that a £40m foreign striker who is only a few years older than them is blocking their path to the first team.

Oh ******** great, now we just need to get Gomez from Spurs and bring back Paul McShane, what a glorious summer it will be. Money to spend my arse.

fcb, I doubt we're going into this transfer market looking for a forward and that Owens resigning is just to future proof in the event that Macheda goes out on loan again and Welbeck still isn't ready for the step up. Our strikeforce is well up to scratch to challenge for the Premier League title next season and arguably perhaps the best strikeforce in the Premier League. Alot of tactical variety, chemistry, cohesion and graft amongst them.

I would welcome Charlie Adam to the club in a heartbeat. He can play the ball incredibly well from a variety of ranges, he's not afraid to get stuck in and make a challenge, he will run at the opposition, his got a decent shot on him, he's lethal from set-pieces and he's a grafter. We do sometimes forget that all stars have to start somewhere. Star-studded names are a massive risk, ask City, Chelsea, Madrid and Barca, if you still don't believe me look at our big money flop Veron. That said, I would still love a good CAM, please tell me Douglas Costa's visit to Old Trafford was more than just a visit but a deal being completed and kept under wraps.

From Wikipedia Charles Graham "Charlie" Adam (born 10 December 1985) is a Scottish international association footballer who plays in England for Manchester United. I really hope this was just a wind up.

Just a wind up Kanchelskis, you're best off checking official websites current squads to spot if the person is there. Wikipedia can be edited by pretty much anyone. Wouldn't mind if it were true though.

I know, it was just someone taking the ***** most likely a City fan or Charlie Adams agent lol, wiki itself is a ***** take, an encyclopedia anyone can edit, it's an oxymoron. I'm going to edit De Rossi's and Sneijders pages maybe even Messi's change current club to Utd and hope for the best.
