Auction Update!

Yesterday we reported on how the penalty spot at Blackburn had been put on the auction site!

We reported on how one unknown person had decided it would be a viable proposition to earn himself a fortune by flogging off the very spot from which Wayne Rooney secured that record breaking 19th top flight title.

Well it seems that the sharp-minded person, today unveiled as Eddie Maxwell, was spot on with it now being reported, this morning, that bidding for the reference penalty spot has now reached almost a million quid!

To his credit, Maxwell has pledged to share the proceeds with Blackburn Rovers` charities!

How`s it go - where there`s muck there`s money!
