Young Switch?

Young Switch?

How the press sways from one view to another is perhaps no better illustrated than the ongoing Ashley Cole transfer rumour.

Yesterday the press was peddling the inference that Ashley Young had decided to join Liverpool, yet today we find that, once again, the inference is that Manchester United are favourites to secure his services.

The switch, some twenty-four hours after yesterdays` inference, is that Sir Alex Ferguson views Young as somebody who can operate on either flank, thereby putting pressure on Valencia and Nani to perform, whilst also being versatile enough to be able to play through the middle.

With the fee being quoted as a very respectable £12 million, is Sir Alex on the verge of bagging a bargain with one tabloid publication implying transfer talks are in progress?

At 12 mil I would say go for it and that's only because of our dire need for an attacking midfielder who's direct in his play.
