Good or Great?

Another United player trying to look on the positive side during the victory parade yesterday was Patrice Evra.

The French full back tried desperately to differentiate between what is a good season and what a great season is, before moving on to the future, by commenting,

"The consolation is that Manchester United had a good season. Not a great season because we didn`t win on Saturday but a good season."

"It was not easy but we played with the Manchester United spirit a lot. We deserved better but we played against the best side in the world and it was difficult."

"I know exactly what we have to do. Go on holiday, have a rest and come back because Manchester United never die."

"We always want to be the best team in the world but, for the moment, we have to accept that for the last few years Barcelona have been the best team in the world and United are second."

"Of course, I want to come back to the final and play against Barcelona. We are not afraid."

"We have still won the league and we are going to win the league again next year and make sure we win the Champions League."

Exactly!

Well that's reassuring. I just hope this never say die attitude reflects in next seasons performances. We've said before getting b1tched up by Barca wouldn't knock us shortly before seeing the side underperform and 1 or 2 players being knocked off the rails completely. This year should've been 20 last year should've been 19.

If new faces are not brought in and I mean proper players not prospects the squad will be even more deflated, 2 top signings could revitalise the whole club.
