'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Lucky Omen?

It`s interesting to see that the referee appointed for this match is the thirty-five year old Hungarian, Viktor Kassai.

I say interesting because the Hungarian has, previously, refereed United in three fixtures and United have won all three!

Let`s hope it`s a run that can continue!

How many of those 3 were against Barcelona??? lmao
Blue_Mel
I won't be holding my breath but hopefully a fourth win with him in charge tonight.
TheFamousNo7
a sad attempt to make the most out of pathetically small sample of results..statistically naive and desperate
Blue_Mel
Blue_Mel.... Jealous much??. Forever in Utd's shadow lol...
coopsieyid
Hey fellas, I'd just like to wish you all the best for tonight. I couldn't give a damn about 'Premiership rivalry' (not that my beloved Spurs are rivals for you guys, in the league). Tonight you're an advert for English football, and the Premiership. I honestly hope you can pull a result out of the bag, if for no other reason than to shat all over those supposed 'football experts' that are not giving you a prayer tonight. All the best fellas!! UNITED, UNITED, UNITED!!
coopsieyid
Cheers coopsie.
TheFamousNo7
TFNo7, no worries mate. You're ALWAYS polite on our site, and was pretty much on every time we had a Champions League night, to wish us luck.. So I figured it's the right thing to do, to come and wish you all the best on the biggest night of them all. Seriously, GOOD LUCK :-)
coopsieyid
Actually, no not jealous..just cant wait to se ethe Reds get demolished by a world class team tonight..and then we gonan get their manager lmao
Blue_Mel
Just to rub salt in to the wound , my local club gonna give your manager's son's club a good kicking too
Blue_Mel
And how proud you must be, Blue_Mel??. "And then we're gonan get their manager lmao"..... Well firstly, I think you may have just said "And then we're going to get their manager lmao"??. If so, can you tell me how Spurs got to the Champions League final please? ;-).... John Terry took any penalties lately?. He was facking superb that night, back in May 2008, for United LMFAO
coopsieyid
Blu_mel we're not getting their manager... Just like we're not getting Harry Redknapp (thank God). And I don't think we can exactly trash-talk mate. :( Pains me to say it but United deserve to be there tonight and as does stinking diving Barca so it should be a solid match. Looking forward to it! By the way if you mancs want a better "omen" than that take heart from the fact that the team to eliminate Chelsea has always gone on to win it lately...
BlueBanes
I not saying they dont deserve to be there ,..thats the reason they are there ..but I believe that Barcelona are as far superior to United than United are to Halifax Town at least the way they played this season.... The only real opposition they have had in this competition has been Chelsea. The fact they got to the final only flatters them. We will see next season the real Chelsea.. and we WILL wipe the floor with the league..Like I said 3-1 to Barcelona..with United getting a dodgy penalty
Blue_Mel
yeah Blue_Mel, just imagine if Utd had to play the same opposition that Spurs did... Not taking the p1ss mate, a group with Inter (champions), Werder Bremen, FC Twente. In our debut season in the CL. Nobody gave us a prayer. Topped that :-). Then had AC Milan, stood no chance ;-)..... Seriously Blue_Mel, Utd would still be in the final, no matter who they met.... BlueBanes, nice to see you're as elequent and polite as ever :-). Always a pleasure to know there are some Chelsea supporters that are 'genuinely nice people'...
coopsieyid
Coopsy ..I can type quite properly..but you will never get Ferguson saying "Yes" it will always be "aye" or is that ok with you ?
Blue_Mel
oh and that will be while hes chewing gum.. no respect
Blue_Mel
It's "Coopsie"!!.... So evidently you can't type quite properly.... As for the rest of your response, I don't have a clue what you said?? Though the "while he's chewing gum" comment, did bring a chuckle to the surface. Your 3-1 is still a possibility though!.. And though it's 1-1, the gulf in class is unbelievable. Barca are obviously the better footballing side. However, it's goals that win games!! I suggest you watch this space ;-)
coopsieyid
My 3-1 is spot on...superior side won ? yes? lmao
Blue_Mel
i suggest you watch Chelsea next season
Blue_Mel
No blaming the ref for that pathetic performance, but the blame lies firmly at the feet of alex fungusscum. Selecting the slowest player in the squad alongside an OAP in midfield shows that fungusscum has learned nothing in two complete seasons on the way to play Iniesta and Xavi. Also with the pathetically useless tosspot evra at 3, Barca new exactly which side of the park was the easy route to their goals.
bseymour
Watch Chelsea do what? Fire another manager? Have a laugh if you think you're getting Guardiola, why would he take a step down the career ladder? In all seriousness you've got your head in the clouds mel, if you do spend millions there's so many things that can go wrong. Players might not fit, players might not adjust, players may be overrated and those that do seem OK have still got to adjust. Then you've got financial fairplay implications and a new system introduced by a new manager. Roman also sticking his nose in on every occassion hardly helps either. Why you think anything will change is beyond me. You'll never beat Barca in the Champions League so even that's still a faint dream for Roman.
TheFamousNo7
coopsieyid, cheers for the support man, you and others who supported us are examples to the rest of the English fanbase. You forget rivalries, you forget previous events and you get behind the team that's representing where you come from. Too many let bitter defeats and blind hatred cloud that rational thinking.
TheFamousNo7
bseymour it's one thing knowing and another thing to actually do it. How many have been able to do it? Mourinho, that's it. The first 2 goals for Barca were weak. The 1st one Evra didn'y know whether he should've been marking Messi or Pedro and unfortunately got caught in two minds and made the wrong decision. The 2nd was just unfortunate positioning and shifting of body weight for Van Der Sar.
TheFamousNo7
I have no hatred for United..just knew they were the inferior team this year...what makes United supporters get hatred from others is that they wont accept whats obvious from others...I have said that United dererbed to be at the final (recognising that they faced inferior sides en route to the final unfortunately including Chelsea) , but it was always obvious that they were no where near good enough to beat Barcelona...SIMPLE AS...NO hatred involved
