United - Champions League Final Team?

United - Champions League Final Team?

The final is drawing ever nearer and one tabloid has gone out on a limb and named what it believes to be the starting eleven Sir Alex Ferguson will opt for.

Basically, it`s the same eleven that saw of Schalke 04 in the semi-final, and is as below:-

Van der Sar

Fabio
Vidic
Ferdinand
Evra

Park
Giggs
Carrick
Valencia

Rooney
Hernandez

If the tabloid has got its facts right, it`d mean no places for Berbatov and Nani, two of our most productive players this season.

Has the tabloid got it right or do you think there will be some deviations from the starting eleven they`ve named?

Surely it would be Valencia wide right and Park wide left rather than vice versa. Otherwise, unless Fletcher is available, I would expect that squad. With the media hounding Giggs at the moment, if he's to emotionally distraught to play we might see Anderson. Anderson might even take Carricks position.

Once its Hernandez and Rooney up front I'll be happy, well until Carrick inevitably gives the ball away.
