Young Move Drawing Closer?

Young Move Drawing Closer?

Could it be on?

With it being intimated that Manchester United are looking to make three prominent signings this summer, the tabloid press have kicked into overdrive with regards to one player that has featured regularly in the transfer gossip columns - Ashley Young.

Once again it is being stated that Young has no intentions of signing a new contract at Villa Park and that he has his mind set on a switch to Old Trafford, thoughts confirmed in the same article by Aston Villa`s January signing, Darren Bent. The article also goes on to infer that United are now awaiting official permission to speak to the player.

Sit back, we say, and wait for further developments!

Villa fan in peace: Most villa fans have very mixed feelings towards webcam (you google it!). Although he has over the past 5 years shown moments of brilliance this is interspersed with poor set-pieces, petulance and in particular and overblown view of his importance. £15 m and he is yours. He wouldn’t get away with his behaviour under SAF so he may make him into the sort of great player he can be. Or like Milner he may spend a lot of time on a bench in the rain!!! Good luck with him.

If he joins villa@herts I can only imagine him being in the latter category. A good player but not what we need, or speaking for myself personally, what I want. If we were to buy a winger I still feel they should be left footed, with Giggs our only left footed left sided player. N'Zogbia over him and at a much cheaper price. Unless of course, he was going to play AM for the team but even then I would prefer Douglas Costa for that money, heck, Taarabt is the same sort of player villa@herts described Young to be who we could also get for a much smaller fee.

Ashley is class IMO...definitely good enough for the Champions League .but Villa will do their best to try and keep him and will play hard ball over the fee...We have to. and if he goes, hope there is interest from several clubs to push the price up..Very sad to see him go, but use any proceeds to try and resign Milner

Villa fan here guys n gals. If you like players that fall over a lot and then shout at the ref then hes your man. Very highly overrated in my humble opinion. Id gladly take £15m all day long. As N07 just said, Id prefer N Zogbia over him so hopefully you lot have Ash and we get Charlie boy. Well played this season and I hope you can do Barca too.

Player's that fall over a lot and then shout at the ref? Why you've just described the entire united team Gibbo - Ashley should feel right at home.

News just in, Phil Taylor has been spotted at City's training ground this morning and the word coming from City sources is that Mancini has brought Taylor in to help Balotelli hit the target more often, namely the bulls eyes on the chests of the trainees he has been lobbing darts at.
