Ferguson Snubs LMA Dinner?

Having been awarded the distinction of being named as the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Year, Sir Alex Ferguson is widely tipped to be named the League Managers Association Manager of the Year tonight.

The winner, of this prestigious award, will be announced at a black-tie dinner tonight but our spies tell us that Sir Alex will not be there.

Our boss isn`t intending to attend the dinner as he`d prefer to be in attendance at Old Trafford when his next batch of youngsters take on Sheffield United in the second leg of the FA Youth Cup Final.

We believe that Sir Alex has filmed an acceptance speech that will be broadcast when the current worst kept secret in football is finally confirmed.

Can't knock the man for putting his teams interests before his own, a truly great manager. The only other managers who pop into my mind who deserve this award is Halloway and Martinez maybe that Mankini guy across the road. Liverpool fans might feel aggrieved Kenny aint there but ultimately, it's manager of the season not manager of the half-season.
