A Last Minute Change of Heart?
Well almost!
It seems that with two competitive games to go, a Premier League clash with Blackpool and a Champions League Final against Barcelona, that Edwin van der Sar was almost changing his mind about returning with Sir Alex Ferguson admitting, in the build up to the Blackpool fixture this afternoon,
"Edwin has decided he wants to go out at the top, but he did have a wobble last week."
"He came to see me and told me he was thinking about changing his mind."
"I had to tell him to be quick because we are in the middle of concluding a deal for a new keeper. He came back a few days later to say he would be sticking with his original decision."
Now that would have been something if a new keeper had signed and Edwin decided he was to carry on!
