Three Signings?

This`ll get the tabloids buzzing!

At the club awards dinner last night, Sir Alex Ferguson has given his views on how the squad will be refreshed this close season.

Addressing those in attendance, Sir Alex hinted at a trio of signings, remarking,

"We have some ideas in mind. Hopefully, we can get them put in place."

"We have Giggs and Scholes coming towards the end of their careers, Neville has retired and Van der Sar is retiring, so there are holes we want to plug in terms of the security of the team for the next three years."

"I am looking at maybe three signings which would boost our quality."

Here at Vital Manchester United, we`re pondering over just how many possible names will be put forward before those three proposed signings actually materialize!

I would love Sneijder, Neuer and De Rossi.

Realistically however I would be more than happy with reasonably priced massive prospects who are already showing great ability like De Gea and Douglas Costa. This will future proof the position whilst providing the quality we need now. In addition, if they prove to be great, the price will be insignificant given years of service and resale value.

I would then assume that if Scholes decides to retire we would be looking to sign a ball playing mid, or alternatively, cut that from our game completely and buy a solid DM. God knows who, Parker, Adam, Pirlo, Tiote could all be serious contenders just to name a few. Personally, I would prefer the signing of a left footed left sided player as it's something we're severely lacking, perhaps N'Zogbia? He's a great talent, many will look at him as being a good player standing out in a poor side squad however, it could also be viewed as a good player with poor reception who may shine even more birghtly given the proper service from surrounding players with equal or greater ability.
