With rising inflation and financial cut-backs being two key phrases being banded about by those who run our country, is it any surprise that a survey, reported on, in a tabloid publication suggests that season ticket renewals will drop this summer.

The reference report goes on to suggest that even though we won that record 19th title and we`re heading towards a Champions League Final, against Barcelona a huge 28% of current Manchester United season ticket holders will not be renewing for next season.

Now we`re unable to confirm the accuracy of the reported information but if it is anywhere near accurate then it is a worrying situation, even more so if the trend is repeated throughout football.

Could that financial bubble associated with our game for so long, now be in danger of bursting?

Worrying? Yes. Do remember though, the only way to hit the Glazers where it hurts is to burn a massive hole in their wallets. This may be a blessing in disguise and could possibly catalyse a takeover.

I'm sure the tickets will be snapped up by tourists, thus earning the Glazers just as much money as before. You're turning into Disneyland and there's nothing you can do to stop it, especially as your genuine fanbase continues to be eroded. United - the true plastic club.

fcb- HAHAHAHAAHAHA really? That's rich, coming from the supporter of club that had as many fans as Shrewsbury FC merely 5 years ago. I've said it and will say it again, your OWNERS will do anything to have the number of plastic fans we have! Modern day football is a business, its all about making money. Do you think even your rich owners bought your club just to be nice?
