FA Youth Cup

With the Premier League title secured and a Champions League Final looming large, it was the youth side that took centre stage last night.

Playing the FA Youth Cup Final first leg, at Bramall Lane, our youngsters were involved in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Sheffield United, a draw that leaves the outcome of the final firmly in the balance.

In front of a crowd of 29,977, it was United that took the lead courtesy of a header from Jess Lingard only for United to draw level through Callum McFazdean.

United went in front again, in the second half when Will Keane scored but the lead lasted a mere three minutes with Jordan Slew equalizing for the home side.

The second leg of this fascinating final takes place on Monday and United have every chance of winning a 10th FA Youth Cup.

Some very good players in that set-up. They've done incredibly well to reach the final having beat some really tough opposition on the way. With half the job done and having the advantage of the home ground and support they must feel confident going into this.
