Italian Linked To Old Trafford

Italian Linked To Old Trafford

A rumour doing the rounds yesterday that we didn`t get around to covering was one linking an Italian midfielder with a move to Old Trafford.

With Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes getting older there`s no doubt that Sir Alex Ferguson has one eye on strengthening the area.

Therefore, it`s probably not a surprise that we`ve been mentioned as possible suitors for AS Roma`s midfielder Daniele de Rossi.

A fee of £14 million is mentioned with credence given to a possible move by stating that the player has only a year left on his contract and is in no hurry to sign a new deal.

Another rumour to keep your eyes on this summer!

Not a bad transfer if you ask me. A solid, energetic DM with a decent shot on him as well. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the team and at that price.

Could do a job for us, but I would expect an att mid to come in as well.

His love for Roma however may ruin his career. He has got great ability and a player of his quality should be winning trophies however, he's more than happy to let it waste.
