United - Welbeck Swoop?

Always on the look out for a bargain, David Moyes, if the gossip columns are correct, is looking at taking Danny Welbeck on loan next season.

Welbeck, who has been on loan at Sunderland all season, has impressed in the Premier League and although he`s rated highly by Sir Alex Ferguson, his chances of first team football at Old Trafford remain limited with the emergence of Javier Hernandez.

Therefore we believe that Moyes is working on the theory that he`d like Welbeck to be playing regular first team football to assist his development and that is something he can offer at Goodison Park.

Although that remains to be seen is whether Sir Alex sanctions the move or whether a late intervention, from Steve Bruce, could change the players destination.

Any bids should automatically be ruled out, I would agree with another loan move as, for now, there appears to be too much competition up front, so much in fact that not even the PL's top goalscorer can get inot the starting eleven! The Rooney-Hernandez pairing has been nothing short of brilliant and Welbeck will only be watching from the stands I reckon. Leave it a season or 2 with loans to Coyle's Bolton and Moyes' Everton for more experience and when he returns he will have the experience and much more controlled, mature ability to challenge the starting eleven and perhaps even less competition with Berby, Owen and Diouf looking the most likely to go during that 2 year gap.
