Ferdinand - Regrets, I Have A Few!

Ferdinand - Regrets, I Have A Few!

Saturday May 28th is looming large.

Although we have the small matter of two Premier League fixtures to fulfill before all thought turn to the Champions League Final, it`s natural that some quotes are surfacing relating to getting some sort of revenge for our 2009 defeat to the Catalan side.

Rio Ferdinand, who played in that side, has his own thoughts on that subject and is quoted in the press as having remarked about that night,

"I`ve re-run it in my head a few times, we never played."

"We never got on the ball. We weren`t Manchester United that day. This time we`ll give a better account of ourselves."

"They always say you don`t want to come off the pitch with any regrets. There were regrets that night."

Emotive words indeed, and as for this tie around, Ferdinand cheekily added,

"I wouldn`t mind it being the best Manchester United against the worse Barcelona."

It`s a one-off match, anything can happen!

As long as we play the United way and every player gives it their all this time, I will be happy

I'm fully confident ahead of the game, Barca's weakness in their central defensive area can be exploited by Rooney and Hernandez. If Fletchers fit he could be what we need to disrupt Barca's superb midfield. Fingers crossed that between now and the champ lg final we suffer no bad injuries.
