United - Van der Sar`s Views!

The blip experienced at the Emirates Stadium shouldn`t detract from the fact we`re still in a marvelous position to make this a season to remember.

Common sense tells us that the title is still ours to throw away and baring a disaster on Wednesday night we should have a European Cup Final, at Wembley, to look forward to.

With his career fast coming to a close, Edwin van der Sar reflected ruefully on Sunday`s blip whilst also giving his view on the two big fixtures this week, remarking,

"We didn`t start the game particularly well and didn`t create a lot in the first half."

"It`s a big week ahead, it`s important for the players to recover and for the fans to be at their best on Wednesday and Sunday."

"These are the games you want to be involved in this is what it is all about."

"We have had a period when we have lost some games away from home."

"But hopefully this is going to be the end of it and we can move forward now and achieve our aims."

Quite right, the squad has worked hard al season to get in the position they are in now and nothing should detract from the fact that history is there for the taking if we perform to the best of our ability.

The players said they're treating every game likes it's a cup final in which case, I hope the Arsenal games was just nerves and now they're prepared and ready for Chelsea. Remember lads, a draw will do.
