United - More Twits Than Tweets?

United - More Twits Than Tweets?

Social networking appears to be the in thing with Twitter currently flavour of the month.

Rio Ferdinand has become something of a legend with his tweets but others, amongst the United squad haven`t fared so well.

Wayne Rooney took up the challenge last week and made a few gaffs before he got the hang of it whilst Darron Gibson decided, after a mere ninety-seven minutes that it was not for him.

The Irishman took offence at some of the comments posted and decided to close his account.

As for Wayne, his account has attracted some criticism from Piers Morgan with the television star(?) calling for Rooney to be banned due to his poor spelling.

Now far from me to bare my claws but if Piers Morgan can bank millions through being far from entertaining, in my opinion, on television I`m sure Wayne can be excused a few spelling mistakes!

It's disappointing to see our fans getting on the backs of our players rather than supporting them. Gibson may be average but he plays his heart out for the side every game and really does give his all. He's a useful squad player and every team needs a Gibson, Brown and O'Shea. As for Piers Morgan, the guy's an *********, he needs a sharp short drop back down to reality. A complete douche.
