United - And Up He Pops Again!

Twelve Premier League goals is a great return for a striker in his first season.

Even more so when it`s your first season playing in a league on the other side of the world to that you`d been accustomed to.

Javier Hernandez continues to come up with vital goals and yesterday was no different.

Just as you thought a gallant Everton performance was going to see the visitors take a point, up popped the little Mexican with a far post header to give us all three points.

After the game Javier, talking to the media, gave an insight into that goal and what lies around the corner, a certain Champions League semi-final against Schakle 04, when he remarked,

"It was a wonderful result for us. We know there are two teams behind waiting for us to lose some points but thanks to all our team-mates we got the win. We have another three points but we need to keep thinking game by game - we can`t think about the title."

And as for Tuesday night,

"Next we have the Champions League and we need to start thinking about Schalke. It`s my first season and already we nearly have the Premier League and for me that is fantastic."

Javier Hernandez, a possible candidate for the United Player of the Year?

He has been fantastic this season and has played a key part in the 19th title push. Man U player of the year, well he's definately a contender but that said so are Van Der Sar, Vidic, Berbatov, Nani and Rooney. Nice to see a level head perspective on things also. I can't help but feel a bit smug with transfers like Carroll 35 mil, Torres 50 mil and Dzeko 30 mil.
