Hargreaves Bad Luck Continues

Hargreaves Bad Luck Continues

It looks as if the United career of Owen Hargreaves could well be over.

The unlucky midfielder who has been beset with injury since arriving from Bayern Munich, has featured for only six minutes this season and Sir Alex Ferguson, addressing the media, had this to say about the prospects of seeing Owen in a red-shirt again this season,

"I don`t see it at all."

"It is a shoulder injury. It has just brought his season to an end. He has just carried bad luck all the time he has been here. I am pretty sure he won`t be playing this season."

And as for the contract situation,

"His contract is up at the end of the season. I don`t know what is going to happen."

"David Gill had a discussion with the boy last week. But no more than that. We have to make a decision."

All rather sad really!

With all the waiting with done to see a return and his knee injury being supposedly behing him then surely isn't he worth a year extension on pay as you play terms? It's not like the shoulder or thigh have been recurring issues it's been his knees.
