United - Ferdinand Gets the Claws Out!

It`s time to look towards Wembley and our FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

Saturday evening gives us the perfect opportunity to knock City out of the FA Cup and ensure that it is another trophy-less season for our cash-laden neighbours.

A mouth-watering prospect I`m sure you`ll agree.

Ahead of the epic encounter, Rio Ferdinand has come out with some comments that could be deemed to be slightly mischievous.

Rio has, obviously, been watching on from afar as an element of discontent threatens to disrupt our neighbours preparations and he`s stoked the fires ahead of our meeting by commenting in the media,

"You don`t see people coming off shaking their heads or being disgruntled or sitting on the bench in a sulk at this club because everyone is delighted to be at this club."

"The moment you show a little bit of dissent like that, the manager isn`t happy and he pulls rank and rightly so. He keeps people on their toes."

"People want to play here. You want to be here. You don`t want to be part of any other squad and that`s just the way it is."

Ever so gracious eh? The fact that you're more preoccupied with knocking us out of the cup than actually winning it speaks volumes about your dispicable classlessness. And if Rio is getting his claws out I guess that makes him a great big ****** then doesn't it? Then again we already knew that.

I've read heard time and again City fans saying they want to win the trophy, not to end your drought but rather to get rid of a teasing banner at Old Trafford which you guys bite, hook, line, and sinker. We're classless because we want to knock our opposition out of the cup, you're on a higher moral level because you want to burn a banner?

Ferdinand is not wrong either. Every player accepts that a place in the team is not guarenteed and that sometimes a spell on the bench is needed, anyone who doesn't like that it's out the door faster than you can say 'fergie sign him up' (as was the case with Tevez, us fans loved him but he couldn't accept a rotation system thus, regardless of our wishes, he left. Has it been detrimental to us? No, Fergie knows best). To many City signings are expectant of an immediate first-team place without really trying and believe themselves to good to be considered squad players.

FCB, funnily enough Rio never mentioned City in his after match interview with Chelsea.Reporters asked him about Uniteds team spirit after responding so quicly to Drogbas goal.He never mentioned City once but the papers twisted it!

TF7, can I ask where these City fans were that you heard say they want to win a trophy to take down that banner? That is an added incentive but any genuine fan wants to win the trophy for the good of the club not just to rub your classless noses in it. You've a neck like a jockey's bollox talking about morals when you support a club that shows their complete lack of any, by triumphalising in the lack of success of another club.

To name one bluedub, fcb. As for morals, we don't pretend to be on a moral highground, you guys however, like to build up this facade that your club is perfect. Don't pretend you don't. Then again I suppose what I'm saying is a load of 5hit right? It doesn't convey with your opinion right?

Oh and by the way your look at them comment to Java is pathetic, we're not on the school playground anymore. It gives a good insight into your character though and shows in part why you became a glory hunter in the first place.
