United - Ferguson Press Conference Bloomer!

You couldn`t make it up!

After all the kerfuffle relating to Wayne Rooney`s two game ban for swearing at Upton Park, the gaffer goes and drops a right clanger.

In his pre-match press conference, ahead of tonight`s Champions League quarter-final second leg with Chelsea, when asked whether Rio Ferdinand would play, Sir Alex Ferguson replied,

"This b****** wants to play."

Which, subsequently; resulted in Sky Sports issuing an apology for the expletive after the live coverage of the press conference had concluded.

Doh!

Why Fergie? Why? A genius, good man and one of the greatest managers in football today and in the past, but why does he insist on doing silly things? What benefit will another touchline ban but this time for Europe have? If he wants to make a point then make it, but don't let the club, team and fans suffer.
TheFamousNo7
I do agree with Fergie though, on his assessment of Rio. Hoo ha.
BlueBanes
Anybody hear the yank on sky sports news yesterday when he said Kroenke(Arsenal investor) bought players for one of his stupid yank sport clubs to put "fanny's" on the seats and sky went all 1950's and apologised saying "fanny's" had a different meaning in yankland, it was funny ffs no need to make a big deal out of it. This whole p c bad language crap is getting out of hand. Fergie said ******** oh no I feel so angry I need to write a letter to sky and ofcom.
Kanchelskis
The fact that people go out of their way to complain about such things is so pathetic.
