United - Ajose Scoring Run Continues

Javier Hernandez, deservedly may we add, has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year.

Hernandez, as you are all aware, has made a great start to his United year and if this season was supposed to be a period whereby he was a 'Work In Progress` then he has excelled and exceeded all expectations.

But, behind the scenes, United are doing their best to cultivate a new crop of youngsters, youngsters that will hope to go on and emulate the likes of Beckham, Scholes, Neville and Giggs.

One of these youngsters is Nicky Ajose

Ajose has been on a season long loan spell at Bury as 'The Shakers` seek to push for promotion. It hasn`t all been plain-sailing for Ajose with his season being interrupted, several times, by injuries.

But he`s still bagged 11 goals and has caught the eye if several who have tracked his progress this season. After netting again on Saturday, Ajose, confident as al strikers should be, left us in no doubt as to how many goals he feels he would have hit if it had not been for those injuries, commenting to the red-top media,

"I`d have got 20 minimum if I`d stayed fit."

There may still be a long way to go before Ajose hits the big-time in a United shirt but if he keeps progressing a she has done, you just never know!

He will have a very tough time breaking into the team but all the same a very impressive goal scoring record for someone so young. Hopefully we will see more local youngsters from the academy break into the first-team and provide us strength where we're weak. Can't wait to see Cleverley back, he can provide the goals and that attacking incentive from midfield with Welbeck also coming back.
