'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Rooney Fired Up

Having rested up, courtesy of the Football Association and the draconian punishment, for the Fulham game, Wayne Rooney will be fire dup and ready to go for the visit of Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Wayne, off course, netted the crucial away goal at Stamford Bridge and I guess he`d like nothing better than to thrust another dagger into that Chelsea heart.

Speaking about the positive side of the two game ban, with Rooney quite probably not been selected on Saturday, Sir Alex Ferguson has commented ahead of the quarter-final second leg,

"There`s absolutely no doubt this will spur on Wayne. We`ve got a great motivation now."

"There is the bonus for us of knowing he will be fit and fresh for Tuesday`s match."

"I want us to make it clear that we are a club who can overcome all attempts and difficulties to knock us off our perch."

It looks like the, us against them mentality that serves us so well is creeping back in.

Us v the rest is a brilliant mentality to have, it gives you every incentive to win and pretty much writes the pre-match chat.
