United - Rolando Interest?

United - Rolando Interest?

It`s an anagram?

Of a former player!

Well it might be but the gossip column in one of the nations leading red-tops carries the inference that Manchester United are one of two Premier League clubs who are taking a serious interest in the centre back at FC Porto going by the name of Rolando.

The lads` agent, Peppino Tirri, has had this to say about the player,

"Two English clubs have asked about the subject with me but the decision rests with Porto."

With a reputed price tag of £20 million, I`d be inclined to suggest our interest is nothing more than a polite enquiry!

:( I read it wrong. For a minute, I thought we were being linked with Ronaldo. 20 mil for a CB! Smalling and Evan look like the future of the CB position and added competition will only hinder their development. I think we need another CB but with De Laet coming back he can act as further cover.
