'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - It`s Winning That Counts

The opposition camp has done very little other than talk about that fantastic night in Moscow!

The fantastic night when John Terry slipped and fluffed the penalty that would have given Chelsea their first Champions League win, instead it was left for Edwin van der Sar to assume the mantle of hero status.

Now whether I`d be so chirpy if the boot had been on the other foot I doubt. But in the build up to the first leg tonight, Sir Alex Ferguson has hit the nail right on the head when he`s commented in the pre-match press conference,

"A European Cup Final decided by penalty kicks is a sore one for the one who loses."

"But there have been plenty of European Finals decided on penalty kicks in the last 20 years."

"You don`t care how you win it in a way, as winning is the name of the game."

"It was a really good European Final. Most people there thought it was one of the better ones."

It sure was one of the better ones but then again I`m inclined to say that seeing as it was us that won!

A night when both my finger nails and toe nails got a trim :P It was a great final with both teams playing brilliant attacking football and I think it was perhaps one of the greatest shames in football that the remarkable game couldn't occur again due to an inept Ovrebo!

What a performance guys, what a performance,I'm finding it difficult to express my feelings, glory, glory Utd!!!!!!

Anyone could be the man of the match(Rooney, park, giggs, rio, valencia,Edwin) but for me this was Carrick's best game and he edges it for me.Well played once again.
Antriksh (abmtd)
I sincerely hope that he doesn't under-perform from now on and the management should replay the tape again and again,so that Carrick can understand what he is capable of.
Antriksh (abmtd)
This game did not have many chances,it was just that we were clinical and were extremely disciplined throughout the game, the only disappointment was Evra,he was really bad at times and most of chelsea's attack was coming from his side,I hope SAF has a word with him.
Antriksh (abmtd)
I'll just finish off by saying that we have dealt with the most difficult part of this tie successfully and now at OT we have to finish them off.I hope we guard against complacency as it is not over yet but with SAF and the other older heads in the dressing room I guess we will be okay as far as that thing is concerned.
Antriksh (abmtd)
I agree with your sentiments exactly antriksh. Carrick was fantastic and I thought I would be swimming against the tide with that one.
