'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Rooney Takes the Accolades!

Wayne Rooney had a brilliant second half and provided a performance that will stand us in good stead for our run-in, run-in that could see us emerge with three glittering trophies.

The hat-trick Rooney claimed saw his score Premier League goals 99, 100 and 101 and his performance produced some glowing accolades from Sir Alex Ferguson who had this to say after the game,

"The second goal was fantastic, absolutely fantastic. Marvellous."

"His first touch of the ball was great and it`s his first hat-trick this season. I hope there`s another couple."

"He`ll be delighted with that."

He sure will and let`s hope he`s firmly back in the groove as we head off towards Stamford Bridge for a vital Champions League quarter-final first leg tie with Chelsea.

Another couple of hat-tricks? That would be brilliant! Can't see it happening though.
