United - A Championship Winning Performance?

United - A Championship Winning Performance?

Yesterday was a great day for Manchester United.

Having comeback from being 2-0 down at Upton Park, to win 4-2, we sat back and then watched our closest rivals for the title, Arsenal and Chelsea, drop points.

They say certain games win titles and there`s the distinct feeling that, although there is still some way to go, the victory at Upton Park was maybe just that.

After the game, Sir Alex Ferguson waxed lyrical about the win, remarking to the media in his post match interview,

"We played like Champions today, we kept our head up, we didn`t lose faith in our ability and that was a great, great boost for us."

"We`ve got four home games, three away games and the other important thing for the players is the message we always give them - go and play."

"We dominated the second half here and we deserved to win the game. That was a real championship winning performance."

It certainly was, it certainly was!

Whilst the second half was brilliant and we showed that 'never say die' mentality that has got us sitting above the pack we shouldn't ignore the poor first half. There were some issues that, I reckon, needed a little look at.
