'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Evra`s Poor Reception

Having served the ban imposed after the shenanigans of the last World Cup, Patrice Evra made his return to international football last night.

With it being reported that Sir Alex Ferguson may well have been influential in getting the defender an instant recall, after a conversation with the former United centre half and current French manager, Laurent Blanc, it appears that all didn`t go well for Patrice.

The red-top tabloids are reporting that he was roundly booed by the home crowd as France struggled to a 0-0 draw against Croatia.

We`d imagine that, come a few more games, Patrice`s former predicament will have long slipped by the wayside as long as France return to winning ways, the reason being football fans are a fickle lot are we not!
