United - David de Gea Latest!

United - David de Gea Latest!

One of the tabloid red-tops is pushing the suggestion hard that Sir Alex Ferguson has made his mind up with regards to signing another goalkeeper.

With Neuer, of Schalke 04, seemingly intent on staying in the Bundesliga, for now, Sir Alex, if the red-top is correct, has switched his focus on attracting the young Spanish keeper, David de Gea, from Atletico Madrid.

The inference is that an offer, in the region of £15 million, will shortly be made to see how the ground lays.

We`ll keep you informed.

Fergie has supposedly said he has 2 or 3 targets he will definately buy, De Gea isn't one of them. If Fergie gets a keeper I can't imagine it being De Gea but more of an experienced keeper. The GK position isn't one to take risks with (look at Arsenal as an example of taking risks in that position) and should be filled with a reliable solid keeper. Perhaps the 20 mil for Reina, though a lot of money, is pretty much fool proof, something Fergie should really consider.
