United Target Seasider?

Having already been linked with a target, Wesley Sneijder, who is probbaly outside of our budget, one of the other Sunday tabloids has us linked with another, possibly, cheaper option.

But, this cheaper option is not an option to be sniffed at.

It`s Charlie Adam, the Blackpool and Scotland midfielder, who has made quite an impression this season.

Adam, who so nearly left Bloomfield Road in the January trnafer window but who was told by Ian Holloway to bide his time, could well have a long list of suitors to choose from this summer.

But could the twenty-five year old, aware of the uncertainty over Paul Scholes, turn down a move to the biggest stage in domestic football to show just how much he has improved since he left Ibrox something like two years ago?

His passing is spot on pretty much everytime. A much more realistic replacement for Scholes, more like-for-like with his current game, which has been superb, also. Sneijder would be great if we were looking for a Scholes of the past, with the forwards movement, brilliant range of passing, long shots and goals from midfield but realistically he would cost a fortune as would others of that calibre. Adam might not be the marquee signing most would expect but I think he would be a great signing all the same.

whover gets him will have landed a talent!

I'm not sold Merlin! Good passer but in terms of pitting him against the top midfielders in Europe I have my reservations! Xavi,Inesta,Lampard,Gerrard and co won't be shaking in their boots!!!

At 25 years old he's probably as good as he's ever going to get - not convinced he's top-4 quality, but I suppose united are having to cut their cloth accordingly these days.

Speaking of players not top 4 quality hows Milner and Lescott? It's not about the quality of the players it's about the quality of the team.
