United - Rooney sits out next qualifier

United - Rooney sits out next qualifier

Wayne Rooney will have the benefit of a break when England next play a Euro 2012 qualifier after picking up a second booking.

The striker will miss Switzerland's visit to Wembley on June 4th after his booking against Wales, not that he know this until Fabio Capello told him, Capello said: 'Rooney didn't realise. I just told him it was not a good booking. He said 'Why?'

'He didn't remember that he got booked.'

Its a shame that the suspension doesn't come into play on Tuesday as he could've done with having a midweek off ahead of the next league game!

Capello might decide to rest Rooney against Ghana on Tuesday although I would be surprised if he did.

I bet he knows exactly how many yellow cards he has when playing for ManU ;)

Crapello has decided to rest Rooney anyway - not that anyone will notice him missing!
