United - Hargreaves jinx strikes again

Owen Hargreaves' unbelievable luck, and bad luck at that, with injuries has seen him struck down once again.

His chances of playing for Man United again now look bleak as a damaged shoulder could put him out for a month and that doesn't leave much time to get a chance of a return before the season ends.

After getting himself somewhere near to 1st team contention again the 30-year-old saw his shoulder pop out as he challenged for a header in training with initial fears being that ligaments have been damaged, which would mean at least a month out.

Knee injuries and a torn hamstring within minutes of his return have limited the 17m signing from Bayern Munich to just six minutes of 1st team football since September 2008 and the chances of the England international playing again anytime soon look slim.

what a shame, a star player when fit.. I believe he will stay on next season, he is so close to give his final comeback a go.

If he's happy to take a 1-year pay as you play contract I can also see him staying on another year. He's past the worst of it now so why give up? Fergie really wants him back also so we might not see him this year but i've got a real good feeling we will see him next year.
