United - Keeper Search Goes On

Although United have secured the services of the Danish goalkeeper, Anders Lindegaard, the fact that Edwin van der Sar is retiring is sufficient reason for the rumour-mill to kick into overdrive with regards to signing another keeper.

Today, one source reports that our goalkeeping coach, Eric Steele, went on a nice little jolly to Germany last weekend to run the rule over two prospective purchases as Schalke 04 played against Bayer Leverkeusen.

The clash saw Steele able to cast his eye over Manuel Neuer (Schalke) and Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkeusen), unfortunately, no clues are given as to who had the better game.

We`ll just sit poised for some movement on this one shall we?

It wouldn't shock me if he went on to watch lloris and mandanda also. I still think we should sign someone like VDS, an experienced, talented keeper who we can pick up relatively cheap. Definately prefer that over these 20 mil GK's that keep on getting mentioned.
