United - Preferred Semi-Final Date

According to the buzz on the streets, and for reasons we`ve outlined earlier this week, the authorities are desperate for United to meet City, in the FA Cup semi-final, on Saturday 16th April.

The only way that date cannot be confirmed is if City progress past Dynamo Live in the Europa League this week.

But, if the Saturday date does happen, there will be one far from happy City supporter who`ll miss out on the fixture.

Avid City fan, Ricky Hatton, is joint-promoting a Boxing show that features amongst other bouts, Amir Khan v Paul McCloskey with Ricky insisting his loyalty to the promotion means he will have to miss the Wembley date.

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d like to offer some sympathy but we won`t, instead we`ll be hoping City do crash out of Europe and then crash out of the FA Cup on Saturday 16th April,

If so, we`re sure Ricky Hatton will have a face like thunder as he sits on the corner of the ring apron between rounds pondering over another trophy less season!

Hmm, Fergie being on the sideline during the game could be the difference between winning and losing though. Maybe it would be better for us if they did progress through. At the same time if the date does get moved one of the five fixtures will be Arsenal (as i genuinely believe it's from Bolton to Everton) which is an incredibly important clash for the PL. Toughie.
