'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Spitting Mad!

We didn`t think it would go down well!

Seemingly, Sir Alex Ferguson is spitting mad at finding out that the Football Association have hit him with a five game touchline ban for those comments made after the defeat to Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge.

Commenting on the ban, a club source is attributed as having remarked,

"He believes he was just giving an honest appraisal of the referee`s performance. He didn`t mean to claim the referee was biased and corrected the reference to him being 'fair` in his after-match interview straight away."

"Having explained himself and defended his action he is spitting mad that he has still received such a tough punishment."

Although Sir Alex has 48 hours to appeal, it looks very much like he`ll be sat in the stands for the following fixtures,

West Ham (a), Fulham (h) Man City (FA Cup), Everton (h), Arsenal (a)

Meaning that as well as serving the longest ban issued to a Premier League manager, he`ll also become the first manager to be banned from the dugout at Wembley.

No wonder he`s spitting mad!

I thought it started with Bolton on the weekend and ended with Everton with him being able to return for the Arsenal game. Either way Fergie has really c0cked this one up. He should've kept his mouth shut, I really won't be a happy chappy if this costs us the league.
