United - Ferguson Has 100 Wins

United - Ferguson Has 100 Wins

We didn`t want to tempt fate last night, we didn`t want to point out that our legendary boss had 99 Champions League victories under his belt for fear of putting a jinx on the tie.

Keeping quiet seems to have done the trick, with Marseille vanquished, 2-1, Sir Alex now has a century of Champions League victories to his name.

Those 100 wins having come over a period of 18 years with the first of them being against Honved when United triumphed 3-2.

I`m sure you`ll agree it is a fantastic achievement.

Adding a few comments relating to the competition, I don`t think we offer too much argument when Sir Alex comments,

"We`ve had some great experiences in the European Cup. It`s the best tournament of all."

It certainly is and could Wembley 2011 be another magical moment?

Champions League is beyond us our reckon. Unless the draw is really nice to us I can't see us getting any further than the semi-finals. Personally I think Fergie believes with the squads we've had over the years we should've been alot more successful in Europe and that's what drives him on. Very well done to Fergie.
