United - Nani Shock

Staring out at you from one leading tabloid this morning is the inference that our Portuguese winger, Nani, may be considering leaving Old Trafford.

Apparently, Nani`s advisors feel that on the back of the wonderful season he`s having he should be offered an upgraded contract that would put him on a par with some of the others, pay-wise, in the United squad.

This being despite the fact that Nani was quite happy to sign a new four year deal last March.

The word is that United have refuted any suggestion of a revised / renewed contract and Nani`s advisors have responded by inferring that their client may well be forced to consider a new challenge away from Old Trafford.

I wonder how long this one will fester on for before drifting away into obscurity?

Load of nonsense, the man said so himself. What I don't understand is why it's so hard for the modern footballer to live on 30k+ a week!
