United - Valencia`s Back!

The added bonus from the result yesterday was the fact that Antonio Valencia made a successful return to the first team after injury.

Valencia absent since breaking his ankle in the Champions League group fixture, against Glasgow Rangers, came on as a second half substitute and prompted the following tribute from Sir Alex Ferguson in his after-match interview,

"Valencia`s performance was fantastic. He`s a brilliant player, with great balance and speed. I`m very pleased for him."

Has the return of Valencia come just in time for United to make this a memorable season?

We can only wait and see!

A massive boost for the team. The best part about his return is he hasn't gone down the Eduardo route where he's afraid to get stuck in case of injury. He was confident down the right running at Arsenal and passing incredibly well, even the team looked more comfortable with his presence, we were more settled and our attack play became more controlled. The only thing was his crossing were below par but that is to be expected after such a long lay out. He will be heavily involved in the push for the title I would imagine and could be the difference between 2nd and 3rd.
