Ferguson Views on Semi-Final Win!

Ferguson Views on Semi-Final Win!

With a Wembley trip booked, Sir Alex Ferguson was only too willing to speak to the media this weekend.

Giving his thoughts on the game Sir Alex had this to say,

"There is nothing much between the two teams but considering the major changes we have made and the host of injuries we have at the club we are well pleased with the result."

"It was a tense game and we expected that - they always are against Arsenal. Both teams played their part in different sections of the game."

"In the first half Arsenal certainly had more of the possession but they didn`t have many chances. The goal opened the game up and Arsenal had more chances in the second half."

"There was one really bad miss from Rosicky but I think Edwin van der Sar made three or four fantastic saves. At the other end their goalkeeper had to make three saves from Chicharito and Rooney had more chances. We could have won by more in the end."

Anyone else sense a Wembley semi-final against Manchester City is on the cards?

City in the Semi-final, bring it on! It has been a tough ride so far so why stop now? We can heavily contribute to City's record without a trophy :P

Despite their dominance in the possession department Arsenal never really broke through our defense in the same manner we did numerously to them, if it wasn't for the unbelievable efforts of Djourou in the game I think we could've been looking at a much bigger score line, as Fergie stated. It's just a shame we wont see this standard of football again until we play Arsenal at the Emirates.
