United - Mischievous Ferdinand!

United - Mischievous Ferdinand!

We`re assuming that Rio Ferdinand will not be fit to play a role in the forthcoming FA Cup quarter-final with Arsenal.

If not, he`s still doing his best to stoke the fires ahead of the eagerly anticipated clash and using his Twitter account to great effect.

On Tuesday, as Arsenal faced an very difficult task in trying to edge past Barcelona, in the Camp Nou Stadium, Rio commented on the appointment of the referee, a referee who has since been the subject of vocal attacks from various Arsenal players, commenting,

"Tonight`s referee in the Barcelona v Arsenal game is the best referee for me."

Before subtly adding, after the dubious sending off of Robin Van Persie,

"My comment about the referee was an hour ago - before the red card - still the best referee for me, one decision doesn`t change that."

Following the furor over Martin Atkinson and his handling of the game against Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, I wonder exactly how many decisions a referee has to get wrong before he does become a bad referee!
