United - Sir Ryan?
The honours listings have never held much fascination for me.
Too many of those who receive honours are often, in my opinion, not worthy of such recognition but have simply received pay-back from society for doing a decent, if not spectacular job.
But perhaps I`m about to be converted after reading that the Manchester Central Member of Parliament, Tony Lloyd, is campaigning to get Ryan Giggs a knighthood.
According to the press, Lloyd has tabled an early day motion, in Parliament, asking for backing, remarking to the media,
"Ryan has given great pleasure to us."
Sir Ryan Giggs has quite a ring to it doesn`t it!
