'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Evra Unfazed!

As expected the partisan French crowd did their utmost to unsettle Patrice Evra.

As one of those punished for the South African World Cup fiasco, there was always the chance that Evra would cop for some verbal flak but, thankfully, any pre-match pleas for Evra to be put off his game by some far from sporting tactics came unstuck with Evra giving a performance that was both professional and commendable prompting Sir Alex Ferguson to remark afterwards,

"His temperament was fantastic. He was not affected by it."

But then again did anyone really expect Patrice to be ruffled by a few verbals?

I can't believe he is being used as one of the scapegoats for a poor world cup, the worse bit is it was the FFF that made him a public enemy moreso than the media like it is in England. Forget France Patrice focus on club football, the national team doesn't deserve such a brilliant LB, it's their loss, not his.
