United - Ferguson`s Views

United - Ferguson`s Views

With so much at stake and with both teams not wanting to be out of contention after the first leg, it probably wasn`t too surprising that last night`s game was a tight affair.

However, it would have probably been better if there had of been some clear cut chances to keep waning interest levels up amongst the world wide audience.

Afterwards, in his post match interview, Sir Alex Ferguson summed up his version of the nights events by admitting,

"Both teams cancelled each other out, nothing much happened and I don`t think it was a good match to watch."

"Scoring away from home is important, though, and we didn`t do that. But now we have to win the return game and we have a good chance of doing so. Win and we`re through."

Exactly, but at a perilous 0-0 there`s always the danger of that all important away goal being conceded!

Poor game. Good defensive display as about all you can say from our perspective.
