United - Crawley Praise!

United - Crawley Praise!

Treat others as you`d like to be treated yourself!

Seems to have been the motto on Saturday when Manchester United did their utmost to ensure that our non-league visitors had the best of times.

The result may not quite have gone their way but Steve Evans had nothing but praise for the way his squad were treated by United commenting in the media,

"We`ve gone in after the game and a member of staff has come in and given us a load of shirts signed by all the big players."

"They set the standards on the pitch because they`re top of the Premier League. But they set the standards off the pitch as well."

"Ever since the draw we`ve been treated brilliantly. We arrived on Thursday and they offered us a stadium tour. We weren`t sure where the hotel was where we were going to stay afterwards so they got one of the staff to guide us there."

"Then they got us a police escort from the hotel to Old Trafford."

And as for the now legendary sharing of a bottle of wine after the game, Evans had this to say,

"I had forty-five minutes with him and his words were very encouraging."

"He didn`t open my bottle of wine - he opened his. He was ready for us, he was the ultimate professional."

"We`ve had some drinks with him and his staff and he has given me a proper Glaswegian welcome."

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d like to wish Crawley Town all the best in their quest for promotion.

They look pretty much promoted already, they're sitting 2nd with 5 games in hand! I'm sure the Crawley manager despite the loss was very happy, he wasn't exactly subtle about his excitement of meeting Fergie and going to Old Trafford.

Has anyone seen the transfer rumours for today? They will really make you chuckle: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/177854/Sir-Alex-Ferguson-to-drop-flops/ - What do they honestly believe after one poor performance Fergie is going to shun Obertan and Bebe from Man U? Have a laugh.

I know fcb and I bet Tinie Tantrum would LOVE the ref screaming, moaning and throwing a tantrum in his face.

Are you having a laugh TF7? Players screaming in ref's faces, Shrek, Ginja Ninja, Steptoe Fletcher, Thriller, Camel Gob etc. etc.

And yet none of them quite throw their dummy out of the pram in the same manner of Tinie Tantrum. Oh well it's only short-term issue for you guys anyway, you're merely a stepping stone on his way to Milan.

United did enough to win and could I believe have raised their game. Crawley did a lot better than expected but how much of that was down to you not really having to try too hard.
