United - Evra Deal

Any suspicions that Patrick Evra may well be enticed to Real Madrid seem to have evaporated following some news in the media this morning.

It is being reported that Evra has agreed to sign a new deal that will see him stay at Old Trafford for the next three and a half years.

Naturally, as appears to be the norm these days, there will be a salary increase with the twenty-nine year old, reputedly, seeing his salary increase from 70,000 a week to 90,000 a week.

I would love to see the best LB in the world sign a new contract and end this Real Madrid speculation in the same way Vidic has done. The wages are fairly reasonable (football money reasonable that is) especially considering his quality. It's Patrice Red Boy, Patrice.
