United - Owen Grief

Michael Owen`s season has hit the buffers again.

The striker, who has struggled with injuries since joining Manchester United, reportedly picked up a groin injury in training.

At the time of writing the seriousness of the injury has yet to be confirmed as we believe the club are awaiting the results of a scan.

Owen, who`s last major competitive impact was in the 4th round of the FA Cup, against Southampton, has made six Premier League appearances this season, scoring once.

Hopefully, this latest ailment will not keep him out for too long!

He doesn't really feature and won't feature too much for the rest of the season. A useful player to have but Fergie would sooner play Berby on his own, Rooney on his own, Rooney and Berby, Rooney and Hernandez or Berby and Hernandez than pick Owen, too many combos which he just doesn't fit in to. Hopefully for his sake he will get his first Premier League title.

Splinters can be painful when you only polish the bench

I think it's the end of his and Hargreaves United careers.
