'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - No Added Crawley Bonus!

It was the draw that everyone wanted, the most famous name in English football going head-to-head with the only non-league team left in the competition.

This weekend every man and his dog will be watching events at Old Trafford to see if little old Crawley can shock Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup. If they do it`ll succeed David v Goliath as the biggest shock this planet has ever seen.

But, it transpires that Crawley`s legion of non-league players, even if they do topple United, will pick up only a pittance. Apparently the FA rule stipulate that additional bonuses cannot be paid, therefore Crawley`s players, who will become overnight heroes if they do triumph, will pick up only a paltry 150 a man extra, with their chief executive, Alan Williams, confirming,

"There is no extra financial for our players to knock out Manchester United."

"That would be against FA rules and, to be honest, none of our boys are thinking about the money."

"It`s all about the FA Cup and having the chance to play at Old Trafford."

No cash incentive but just the thought of all that glory and media coverage should be enough to ensure United face a difficult task to reach the last eight of the greatest domestic cup competition in the world.

So Fergie is going to field a weakened side we can take it, lets hope Crawley don't cause an upset.
