United - Rio Out for Two Weeks!

With a crucial derby against Manchester City coming up next weekend, news has broken that Rio Ferdinand will not be fit for that fixture.

The cultured defender, who pulled out of the fixture against Wolves yesterday, very late on, with a calf injury, is set to be sidelined for two weeks.

The calf injury has also prevented Rio from being named in the recent England squad that travels to play Denmark in Copenhagen this Wednesday evening.

Good, hope he's out longer.

We can cope without him but most definately prefer to have him in the squad.

Bit convenient that he's injured just days before and England friendly, wouldn't you say? If the guy is genuinely injured then fair enough, but if this is just another attempt at "mind games" from fergie and Rio miraculously recovers in time for the derby (which is my suspicion), then I reckon Capello should strip him of the England captaincy with immediate effect. If he doesn't want to play every game for his country he's not fit to be captain.
